I'm gonna assume you've probably noticed I'm definitely not active here, if you wanna keep up with me, I relentlessly post stupid garbage on my twitter (@edgedestroys) and recently set up a secondary twitter for merch designs I've been working on (@FERAMVSA) that you should follow if you wanna be in the loop, entertained, or annoyed. Maybe all three who knows, knock yourself out.

As far as FERA MVSA goes, I opened a society6 shop (society6.com/feramvsa) for my designs. I'm mostly using it as an outlet for making all over print shirts available until I source getting regular shirts printed along with other merch and can deal with fulfillment, sales and shipping all myself on my designs. So far I only have 2 designs up but they're hecking dang cool if I do say so myself (and I do, trust me), but there will be many more to come.

Music news: I recently finished a metalcore album for a new personal project that you can listen to at ghostsofcatharsis.bandcamp.com, you should check it out if you like stuff like texas in july, august burns red, etc, etc. It's pretty fun heavy stuff.

PS, thanks for all the comments, shouts (especially birthday wishes) and such that I haven't been around to respond to. I appreciate all of them and will probably continue to have a repulsively bad attention span, thanks for thinking of me even when I'm not thinking xoxo.

11231231th journal admitting that I'm awful at paying attention to this site, hey, yo, sup. Obligatory "I'm not dead lol". It's been a minute since I've paid much attention on here, figured I'd touch base and let you guys know I've released a few new albums you might or might not want to check out since the last journal I posted.

As far as my electronic stuff there's 3 new EPs out
gearsoftheapparatus.bandcamp.c…
gearsoftheapparatus.bandcamp.c…
gearsoftheapparatus.bandcamp.c…

And I have a new post rock album out
asseasexhale.bandcamp.com/albu…

Other stuff in the works: I had a DMCA claim brought against me by some batshit homestuck fangirl trying to white knight for What Pumpkin that got my first Andrew Hussie Boogaloo album taken down (pretty much just based on the fact that it's called The ANDREW HUSSIE Boogaloo even though none of the music actually had anything to do with homestuck and uh, you can't copyright a birthname hello?) but I'm trying to sort that out with Bandcamp to get it put back up. The reissue is going to have the new art I just posted as well as a few bonus tracks that I've never officially released anywhere. There's also a new TAHB album in progress but I dunno when it'll be done, I've got a lot on my plate. I'm also working on a brand new melodic post hardcore project (I don't even know whatever the hell genre it is, stuff like Counterparts, Hundredth, The Ghost Inside and For The Fallen Dreams) I'm working on with a friend that's 80% complete; 5 tracks written and fleshed out just waiting for us to write some lyrics and record some vocals so that'll be tight.

Other than that yeah, I dunno. If you aren't yet and care about stupid social media BS you can follow me on twitter and see whether I'm dead or not since I'm infinitely more active there than anywhere else. twitter.com/edgedestroys

In the event that you're oblivious to my most recent submission and somehow aren't watching/following/stalking/whatever one of my various other art/music/social fuckery accounts that have already been swamped with album cover and music submissions, just so you know I make cool tunes and stuff and I think it'd be swell if you took some time to check it out and maybe get it.

gearsoftheapparatus.bandcamp.c…

Much love.

Man I swear, I neglect the living shit out of this site. Sorry for my inactivity, I always say I'll try to do more on here but I never do. Anyways in the past year or so I moved back to PA to save for a new car, saved enough, moved back to FL, bought a new car and an assload of Ikea and the past few months I've been working on a new EP under my Gears alias that I'm pretty excited about that I might be releasing soon (possibly tomorrow?). It's some dubstep/fidget/electro stuff so if you're into that get stoked. Possibly doing a collab with a cool dude on here so I guess watch out for that. And uh, that's pretty much it. Just posting something for the sake of not looking like I died months ago.

Okay so this is a MASSIVE MASSIVE pet peeve of mine and I've ranted about it before on other places I upload art/twitter/etc. BUT HERE. HAVE A SLICE OF MY MIND AND ENJOY.

The majority of the crap I look up when I'm trying to find new design stuff = 1. Low res brushes that can't be used for ANYTHING worthwhile. 2. Decent res brushes with subject matter that really isn't that hard to reproduce. 3. Texture images that usually are just pictures of dirt, stained paper or your grandma's floor. 4. Fairly nice high res stock photos with super ridiculous copyrights, rules and other bullshit. 5. Some combination/permutation of these subject matters and qualities I haven't listed.

And some shithead on this or whatever site they uploaded this crap crying for copyrighting, royalties, huge crediting or sky high purchase prices.

Let me set the record straight. 99% of you DO NOT deserve money or credit for taking a picture of wallpaper in your great aunt's attic and calling it vintage or the dirt in her basement with your $200 camera you got at staples and peddling it as super quality grunge texture. You don't deserve everyone's attention for scanning paper stained with teabags or family tree photos from 1872.

If you think you do, you're a self-entitled idiot.

I do this stuff for free, sometimes I spend entire days making new texture and brush packs FOR FREE. I don't charge royalties, I don't ask for credit and I sure as hell don't make up bullshit rules stating that I demand or expect them. It doesn't take strenuous effort to make this stuff. Hell the only reason I'm not offering super high res stock images like Resurgure is because I don't have a camera good enough, my boyfriend is moving in soon with his Canon XTi and I'll be doing that too, and guess what, it'll be for free.

If it's so much a chore for you to help other artists out, why the hell would you bother? Art is something that pays for itself. I ENJOY making this stuff, I don't need credited or paid for making resource images/brushes. If you're that self-entitled over pictures of dirt and rusty metal, you don't deserve recognition as an artist to begin with. I specifically instruct people NOT to credit me.

Get over yourselves. Get real. Get bent. Get wrecked.
Art is about creation. Not monopolization.
